We’re supporting a search for a Corporate Director of Financial Accounting & Reporting with a well established consumer products organization that operates across domestic and international markets.
This role reports directly to the CFO and will play a key leadership role across financial reporting, technical accounting, audit coordination, and strategic financial guidance to senior leadership.
This position is ideal for a technically strong accounting leader coming out of public accounting or industry who enjoys influencing decision making, building teams, and operating in a dynamic multi entity environment.
What you’ll be responsible for
Leading technical accounting research and implementation of new accounting standards while preparing support documentation for auditors Managing internal and external audit activity and serving as the primary accounting contact point Advising leadership on financial, tax, and internal control considerations tied to contracts, systems, and strategic initiatives Overseeing ledgers, reporting structures, and compliance with US GAAP and applicable regulatory standards Driving internal control effectiveness and policy execution Leading close and consolidation activities across multiple entities Partnering with business leaders to review performance and provide insight into financial results Supporting executive decision making by translating financial impacts to operational leaders Providing guidance to FP&A, AP, AR, tax, and treasury functions tied to accounting policies and controls What they’re looking for
Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance CPA strongly preferred, MBA or MS a plus Public accounting foundation with several years of financial reporting experience Strong technical accounting, consolidation, and reporting background Knowledge of US GAAP with familiarity around IFRS Experience working within ERP environments and implementing accounting changes Advanced Excel and strong communication skills Experience with large GL platforms such as Oracle, SAP, JD Edwards, or similar Leadership style centered on mentorship, accountability, and collaboration Ability to operate in a fast moving environment and manage multiple priorities This is a leadership opportunity within a stable and growing organization that values technical depth, business partnership, and team development.
