Top-tier Distressed Fund in NYC is looking to fill an experienced role overseeing trade settlements across all their funds/strategies. This person will get great exposure on a fairly lean team.
Job Functions
Communicating, confirming, settling/funding and reconciling derivative trades (CDS, IRS, Futures, OTC) and support responsibilities utilizing Markitwire, MTM, DTCC and FCM applications
Communicating, confirming, settling/funding and reconciling securities trades and allocations; working with traders, counterparties, clearing brokers, and clearing houses
Primarily support long/short investments in multi-currency fixed income securities in global high yield, structured products and emerging markets settling at DTC, Euroclear and local countries
Hands on w/ Prime Broker/Custodian Web Sites, Omgeo Alert, CTM & Oasys to manage the confirmation, allocation and trade flow
Reporting failed trades
Resolving trade issues
Reconciling trade flow between CRD and VPM
Setting up new accounts and brokers on the confirmation, clearing and trade communication systems
Matching and confirming trades
Initiating wires for settlement
Reconciling cash and positions post settlement
Extracting data/enhancing reports using data warehouse
Working with IT and management on application enhancements and new application implementation
Cross‑train and backup all derivative (CDS, IRS, Futures, OTC) support responsibilities utilizing Markitwire, MTM, DTCC and FCM applications
Job Requirements
4-10 years of Buy side experience.
Strong Excel skills and high aptitude to learn new applications.
Good understanding of trade matching, confirmation and clearance process.
Knowledge of Charles River OMS (CRD) and VPM Accounting System a plus.
Bachelor's Degree in either Finance or Accounting.
