The Neuroscience Sales Representative has overall responsibility for meeting or exceeding sales expectations within their assigned geographies in an ethical and compliant manner.

The NSR is responsible for understanding and identifying customer needs, aligning marketing resources and supporting pull-through activities. They are also accountable for embodying and communicating Intra-Cellular’s corporate vision of delivering innovative treatments to improve the lives of individuals with neuropsychiatric, neurologic, and other disorders to reduce burden on patients and caregivers.

The Neuroscience Sales Representative will develop superior product and disease state knowledge that allows them to compliantly engage in in-depth clinical dialogue with healthcare professionals. They will also create local strategic and tactical plans, allocate resources appropriately, and manage budget and expenses within their assigned territory.

Job Responsibilities

Following compliance guidelines, drive sales performance to ensure sales forecasts are met or exceeded within the assigned territory by calling on predominantly Primary Care HCP offices and select PC targets in both in-person and virtual settings.

Develop product and disease state knowledge and educate healthcare professionals about clinical evidence, approved indications, and product efficacy/safety profiles to support on-label prescribing for appropriate patients.

Use assigned budgets to achieve territory objectives. Customize discussions and client interactions based on customer needs in a compliant and ethical manner.

Function independently with sales proficiency to drive sales performance and ensure forecasts and budgets meet or exceed expectations.

Maintain understanding of the local market, practice structures, evolving customers, and key influencers; share this information with internal stakeholders.

Provide input into resource allocation decisions and identify programs/resources appropriate for each customer, practice, or system.

Provide special education to healthcare providers through appropriate programs within ethical guidelines.

Work with District Manager to develop a local business plan that ensures achievement of objectives and capitalize on formulary opportunities through strategic implementation.

Collaborate with other Neuroscience Sales Specialist II’s on common objectives and best practices.

Ensure timely and accurate administrative management of work hours, sales call data, customer objectives, responses, synchronization, sample and expense reporting.

Meet or exceed NSR deliverables and build a compliant business plan based on customer needs, resources, and products.

Complete all company and job-related training within required timelines.

Job Requirements

Must have a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, and a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.

Must have 1+ years of documented success in B2B sales experience; previous sales experience in pharmaceuticals, biologics, and/or medical device sales preferred.

Antipsychotic and/or bipolar sales experience is a plus.

Strong desire and passion for improving the lives of patients and their caregivers; patient-centric mindset preferred.

High integrity and adherence to the Company’s Compliance policies and procedures.

Self-motivation, initiative, entrepreneurial spirit, strong decision-making, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Proven ability to learn and adapt in evolving environments and to work in telemedicine/virtual settings.

Ability to analyze data and metrics to assess progress and identify opportunities.

Strong verbal, presentation, and listening skills; experience communicating technical information to diverse audiences.

Flexibility for non-standard hours and some travel, including overnight; some domestic travel to HQ, training, and meetings may be required.

Salary range for this position: $79,000-$130,000
