A leading commercial general contractor with a strong healthcare portfolio is seeking an experienced
Traveling Superintendent
based out of the St. Louis area. This role will support
ground-up hospital projects and major hospital additions
across the Midwest and surrounding states.

Position Summary The Superintendent will be responsible for on-site leadership and execution of large-scale healthcare construction projects, including new hospital builds, bed tower expansions, and major additions. The ideal candidate has a proven track record managing complex healthcare projects with strict safety, infection control, and scheduling requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Lead day-to-day field operations for
ground-up hospitals and large hospital additions
Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and field staff to maintain schedule and quality standards
Develop and manage project schedules in collaboration with Project Management
Ensure compliance with healthcare construction standards including ICRA protocols
Oversee site safety and enforce company safety policies
Conduct daily meetings, quality walks and coordination with hospital staff when applicable
Manage inspections, punch lists and project closeout
Qualifications
7+ years of Superintendent experience in commercial construction
Direct experience managing ground-up hospital projects or major hospital additions
Strong knowledge of healthcare construction requirements (ICRA, phased construction, occupied renovations)
Ability to travel as required for project assignmentsProficiency in construction scheduling software and project documentation tools
Strong leadership and communication skills
