Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for a Commercial Real Estate Controller, based in Livonia, MI. The role includes overseeing the financial operations of the organization’s real estate portfolio, preparing budgets and financial reports, ensuring regulatory compliance, managing accounts payable and receivable, and leading a team in daily accounting operations. The Controller will collaborate closely with property managers, investors, and stakeholders to optimize financial performance and maintain accurate records.
Qualifications
Strong expertise in Financial Reporting, Budgeting, and Forecasting
Proficiency in Accounting, Auditing, and Financial Analysis
Experience in Team Leadership and Collaboration
Knowledge of Real Estate Accounting, Lease Administration, and Property Management
Familiarity with relevant financial software and systems
Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Understanding of taxation, compliance, and real estate investment regulations
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with CPA certification preferred
