Columbus OSP Inspector (Contract-to-Hire)

Location: Columbus, OH

Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire

Pay Range: Up to $30 per hour (based on experience)

Work Environment: 100% Field-Based (Local)

About The Role We are seeking OSP Inspectors to support a major fiber expansion initiative for a leading fiber provider. This program focuses on building new underground fiber routes to data centers, enabling next‑generation connectivity and high‑capacity infrastructure for enterprise clients.

Your primary responsibility will be documenting construction progress and site conditions using an iPad—capturing photos, noting issues, and sharing updates with the project team.

Key Responsibilities

Take clear, detailed photos of underground fiber construction activities and site conditions.

Upload and share images daily to provide visibility for remote project teams.

Record concise notes on progress, issues, and compliance with construction plans.

Communicate any concerns promptly to the Construction Manager.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Prior experience in utility or construction inspection (OSP experience ideal but not required).

Strong preference for underground utility experience (boring, trenching, conduit placement).

Ability to use an iPad or similar device for photo documentation and reporting.

Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions and traveling locally.

Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Columbus, OH.

Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
