Overview The Relationship Banker I is responsible for providing an exceptional customer experience on the cash line and by phone, processing transactions, and identifying ways Regions can meet customer needs. The role offers growth opportunities for candidates with prior teller, limited banking, or related retail experience.
Primary Responsibilities
Provide a consistent optimal customer experience on the cash line, handling deposits, withdrawals, payments, and other teller transactions
Answer customer inquiries regarding products and services; fulfill basic servicing requests (e.g., new/replacement cards, information changes, PIN resets, check reorders, basic problem resolution)
Develop relationships with customers and stay informed about their banking needs
Educate customers on standard consumer products and digital solutions (mobile, online, ATM) to simplify banking
Assist branch and team members with basic tasks to aid in issue resolution
Refer customers to internal experts for more complex financial goals and needs
Follow bank processes and procedures and comply with applicable laws and regulations; manage and report operational risks
Help achieve branch targets by identifying customer needs and presenting Regions solutions
May conduct outbound calls to educate customers on technology and assist with financial needs
This position requires tracking time for hours over 40 per week and is eligible for overtime under the Fair Labor Standards Act. It is also eligible for incentive plans.
Requirements
High School Diploma or GED
Ability to work Saturdays as needed
Ability to handle cash and process cash transactions
Strong communication skills in person, on the phone, and through electronic channels
Proficiency with computers, typing, and sustained attention to a monitor
Ability to walk and stand for extended periods
Ability to lift up to 20 pounds
Preferences
One year of banking, cash-handling, and/or customer service experience
Skills And Competencies
Adherence to policies, procedures, and guidelines
Ability to assist customers with digital banking offerings
Ability to manage multiple priorities
Ability to oversee large sums of cash
Strong customer focus and relationship-building skills

Compensation Details Pay ranges are job-specific and provided as a point-of-market reference. Pay varies by experience, skills, location, performance, and other factors. The target minimum and median pay ranges are listed below for the role’s location and level.
Minimum Job Range Target: $35,640.99 USD
Median: $42,192.00 USD
Incentive Pay Plans: Eligible to participate in a formulaic incentive plan based on performance
