Duties, Responsibilities & Other As a Senior Survey Specialist, you will design and prepare traditional and advanced surveys, using conventional and 3D mapping technologies. This role involves coordinating with multiple disciplines, expertise in drafting/CADD work, conducting site visits, and ensuring project compliance with relevant standards and procedures. You will complete tasks on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of accuracy and quality.

Draft and prepare traditional surveys, including conventional field data acquisition and survey maps for projects such as DOT surveys, Utility maps (SUE), ALTA surveys, boundary, topographic, subdivision platting, construction layout computations, and telecom surveys.

Utilize 3D mapping, including data acquisition and processing using terrestrial, mobile, and aerial LiDAR, aerial photogrammetry, and 3D modeling techniques.

Coordinate the work of multiple disciplines, ensuring seamless collaboration and integration of survey data.

Perform drafting/CADD work as needed to support project requirements.

Experience in advanced survey calculations including raw field data processing, field note reduction, traverse closures, surface generation, GPS network adjustments, level run adjustments, deed and plat plotting, etc.

Mentor and support entry level surveyors, providing guidance and professional development opportunities.

Read and interpret technical documents essential for project success.

Collect necessary project data, including measurements, sketches, notes, and photographs, to support project needs.

Compare field data to survey base plans to ensure accuracy and consistency.

Communicate regularly with supervisor about progress of work assignments and identify early any potential issues in the work product.

Adhere to all company policies and procedures, ensuring projects meet ISO compliance requirements.

Strive to achieve or exceed the budgeted individual utilization target.

Demonstrate commitment to team performance and actively participate in meetings.

Complete all assigned tasks on time, within budget, and in accordance with the project scope.

Complete other duties as required or assigned.

Qualifications Education and/or Skills Required:

Minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience.

Bachelor's Degree in Geomatics or Engineering program.

Strong proficiency in required software such as MicroStation, AutoCAD Civil3D, or Revit.

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Good communication and technical writing skills.

Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically.

Certificates, licenses, and/or Registrations Required:

Valid Driver's License

Ability to maintain required certifications.

Certificates, licenses, and/or Registrations Preferred:

Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) or Professional Surveyor & Mapper (PSM) license eligibility preferred.
