Department: Loan Operations

Key Responsibilities
Support and Advance Loan Servicing Operations
Plan, coordinate, and direct the daily operations of the Loan Servicing, Maintenance, and Specialty Lending business units to ensure organizational efficiency.
In coordination with the Loan Operations Manager, establish service and production goals for the department.
Identify areas for improvement in processes, quality, and service delivery; facilitate development and implementation of solutions.
Develop performance metrics and measurements to track productivity, efficiency, and operational quality.
Extract, analyze, and manipulate data to provide reporting regarding departmental productivity, workflow efficiency, and goal attainment.
Seek new processing workflows or system enhancements that promote efficiency and high‑quality results.
Lead and Manage the Performance of the Loan Servicing Team
Act as a fully engaged member of the team in pursuing departmental goals and shared activities.
Lead a diverse team by setting priorities, managing time effectively, monitoring progress, and navigating challenges.
Provide consistent peer coaching, staff development, and personal mentorship to team members.
Develop and maintain effective managerial tools, including administrative policies, procedures, workflow guidelines, and operational documentation.
Guide employee matters including hiring recommendations, performance management, development planning, and ongoing coaching.
Ensure Excellent Customer Service and Internal Partnership
Demonstrate exceptional customer service and ensure the same level of service is delivered by the team to both internal and external customers.
Create a professional, responsive, and solution‑oriented environment for all stakeholders.
Proactively resolve customer and internal partner concerns and ensure appropriate follow‑through by staff.
Maintain strict confidentiality of customer information and promote practices that reinforce data security and privacy.
Demonstrate Compliance with Applicable Laws and Regulations
Maintain FDICA responsibilities as assigned.
Understand and follow all applicable laws and regulations related to Loan Servicing, including but not limited to:
Equity Bank Business Ethics and Conduct Policy
Bank Secrecy Act (BSA)
Anti‑Money Laundering requirements
Information Security policies
Suspicious Activity Reporting requirements
Ensure departmental adherence to applicable policies, regulations, and internal controls.
Complete periodic compliance training as required and reinforce compliance expectations within the team.
Required Skills & Education
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
5+ years Loan Servicing experience
Previous managerial or supervisory experience
Strong knowledge of staff development, process improvement, and analytical system functions
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to manage high‑volume, time‑sensitive transactions
Detail‑oriented, well organized, and highly self‑motivated
Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to support internal and external stakeholders
Computer proficiency, especially in Windows‑based systems
Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with all banking regulations, policies, and procedures
Preferred
Bachelor’s degree (if not already satisfied above)
Experience developing performance metrics or workflow enhancements
Experience working in a regulated banking environment
Advanced analytical or data reporting capabilities
