What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
Assist in daily resolution of work queues/edits that are holding patient claims from billing
Identify, report, and participate in the resolution of potential or actual revenue/charge-related issues
Monitor EPIC Revenue Integrity Dashboard(s) in collaboration with ministry liaisons
Respond to departmental charging inquiries and provide support for assigned ministries
Work with coding and clinical departments to identify and fix errors based on ICD/CPT coding guidelines
What is Required (Qualifications):
Associate’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum one year of experience within a hospital organization or physician practice environment
Strong attention to detail
Ability to perform frequent lifting and carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs
Competence in using vision for identifying and distinguishing colors
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
Experience with healthcare revenue cycle, billing, and coding
Familiarity with EPIC systems
Knowledge of National Correct Coding Initiative (NCCI) edits
Proficiency in data entry and keyboard usage
