Job Description Over a century in business, this Canadian Corporation has evolved into an international designer and manufacturer of transformers for all types of applications. Its Product Engineering team is a central hub serving up inspiration and responding to customers requests, constantly connected to the Sales & Marketing teams.

To support international growth and new customer applications for MV products, it will hire an Electrical Design Engineer to develop products in the medium voltage, 300-100,000 kVA up to 45kV class. Closely communicating with Sales and the end-use Customer, the Design Engineer will validate and finalize design parameters, prepare quotes with technical particulars & factory cost, prepare optimized design & production drawing packages and approve test results of his/her designs. The Design Engineer can be expected to influence & guide the efforts of Junior Engineers and CAD Drafters, to liaise with Purchasing to identify suitable components, materials and vendors of same. This role will have direct contact with Customers and/or Engineers/Specifiers so communications skills are critical to success. As the "Product Owner", the Design Engineer will support & resolve factory production questions and performance-in-field issues that might pop up.

Our ideal candidate brings transformer (Dry-Type or Oil-Filled) Electrical design experiences. We can consider candidates ranging from intermediate to senior in experience levels and will support relocation to beautiful SW Ontario. An Electrical Engineering Degree from an accredited post-secondary institution is the requisite career foundation. A Professional Engineering license is ideal. Qualifications

Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering.

Minimum of 2-3 years to senior level of transformer design experience, dry-type of oil-filled for Medium Voltage applications
