
Job Description
This two-week assignment involves processing and keying information from a collection of approximately 10,000 books into a designated database system. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are highly organized, comfortable with repetitive tasks, and able to maintain accuracy and speed in a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities
Accurately enter bibliographic and related data from physical books into a digital system
Maintain consistent productivity to meet daily processing goals
Verify data for accuracy and completeness
Handle books carefully and maintain organized workflow procedures
Follow project guidelines and data entry protocols
Report progress and any discrepancies to the project supervisor
Qualifications
Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
Previous data entry, administrative, library, or clerical experience preferred
Comfortable working with physical materials for extended periods
Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office and/or database systems)
Ability to sit for extended periods and maintain focus
Reliable transportation to New London, CTAbility to commit to the full two-week project duration
Preferred Skills
Fast and accurate typing skills
Experience handling books, records, or archival materials
Ability to meet productivity benchmarks without sacrificing quality
