CPA-certified Finance & Accounting Manager

to serve as a strategic leader across both Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) and core Accounting Operations. This is a highly visible leadership role responsible for: Full-cycle accounting oversight Multi-entity financial reporting Budgeting & forecasting Inventory and gross margin management Revenue recognition (ASC 606) Lease accounting (ASC 842) ERP implementation and financial systems optimization Audit, tax, and compliance support The role blends the analytical rigor of a Senior Financial Analyst with the operational accountability of an Accounting Manager, making it ideal for a hands-on CPA who thrives in a growing, inventory-intensive luxury retail environment. This individual will partner closely with the Controller, CFO, Sales, Operations, and Inventory teams to ensure financial excellence, process optimization, and strategic decision support. Key Responsibilities

Financial Leadership & Strategic Planning

Lead annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, and long-range financial planning Develop financial models to support strategic initiatives Prepare executive-level financial presentations Perform detailed variance analysis (actual vs. budget vs. forecast vs. prior year) Provide KPI dashboards, including gross margin, inventory turnover, and profitability analysis Support Board-level reporting and executive decision-making. Full-Cycle Accounting & Close Oversight

Oversee general ledger accuracy across four entities Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes Prepare intercompany eliminations and consolidations Maintain ASC 842 lease accounting schedules Record and review journal entries and reconciliations Ensure books are closed within 30 days Reconcile prepaid expenses, liabilities, and fixed assets Support R&D credits and 263A tax schedule review Inventory & Gross Margin Management (Critical Area)

Serve as liaison between Inventory and Accounting Reconcile inventory and intercompany inventory movements Analyze inventory turnover and valuation Review gross margin performance by entity Implement improved processes for complex inventory handling Ensure inventory integrity aligns with financial reporting Ensure compliance with ASC 606 revenue recognition Reconcile deferred revenue and joint ventures Oversee multi-state sales tax reporting and Avalara system Monitor commission calculations Maintain revenue reasonability analytics Systems, ERP & Process Optimization

Act as Finance SME for ERP selection and implementation Lead implementation of expense management and merchant systems Design financial workflows and internal controls Drive automation and reporting enhancements Improve efficiency across accounting and reporting functions Audit, Compliance & Governance

Lead annual audit preparation Partner with an outside accounting firm for financial reviews Strengthen internal controls and governance processes Ensure GAAP compliance across all financial activities Maintain high standards of confidentiality and ethics Manage and mentor accounting staff and contractors Develop performance goals and accountability structures Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, and Marketing Communicate complex financial matters clearly to non-finance leaders REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

CPA license (Required – Non-negotiable) Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance 7+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP ASC 606 (Revenue Recognition) ASC 842 (Lease Accounting) Inventory accounting in multi-entity environments Experience in retail, luxury, wholesale, or inventory-intensive industries Advanced Excel and ERP proficiency Demonstrated experience leading accounting operations and FP&A Preferred Experience

Big Four or public accounting background Experience with ERP implementation Multi-entity consolidation experience Adaptive, Dynamics, or comparable ERP systems Physical Requirements

Primarily sedentary with movement between meetings
