The Alabama Mountain Lakes Tourist Association is now accepting applications for the position of Graphic Designer. This role is responsible for creating visually engaging marketing materials that promote tourism, travel experiences and regional branding efforts across digital and print platforms. We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented professional with strong design skills and a passion for showcasing the places, people and experiences that make our destination unique. The ideal candidate has a strong design portfolio and the ability to translate a destination’s personality into vibrant, effective visual content. Position Title: Graphic Designer Employment Type: Full-Time Location: Decatur, AL Salary Range: Commensurate with Experience Application Deadline: Monday, March 9, 2026 Position Overview

The Graphic Designer will play a key role in developing print and digital marketing assets that support tourism promotion, visitor engagement and regional branding initiatives. This position works closely with the marketing and communications team to produce high-quality creative materials for campaigns, events, publications and partner promotions. Key Responsibilities

Design marketing materials including brochures, travel guides, advertisements, posters, maps, signage, PowerPoint presentations and other visitor materials Develop digital graphics for online campaigns, social media, websites and email marketing Maintain brand consistency across all tourism promotions Collaborate with staff, members and tourism stakeholders to develop creative campaigns Assist with photography selection, image editing and layout design for destination marketing Prepare print-ready files and coordinate with printers and vendors through job completion Oversee and update amla4tourism.com on a consistent basis Establish, maintain and moderate a Reddit profile to build brand authenticity, increase engagement and manage reputation of Visit North Alabama brand. Minimum Qualifications

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience) At least 5 years of professional graphic design experience (tourism or hospitality experience is a plus) Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) Strong portfolio demonstrating marketing and design expertise Awareness of intellectual property and copyright protocols Strong understanding of branding, layout, typography and color theory Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Familiarity with content management systems How to Apply
