About the Role & Team The Disney Experiences Marketing and Graphic Communications Strategic Sourcing Team are behind‑the‑scenes storytellers. This means exploring the marketplace, searching for the best suppliers and creative partners who can meet the challenge to bring magic to our Guests with each project. Navigating the details to find the right mix of services necessary to make the impossible possible.
What Will You Do? The senior sourcing specialist will support, contribute to and implement strategic sourcing plans to align with the goals and objectives of Disney Experiences. This includes identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements, as well as crafting and executing competitive bids and contracts. They will be responsible for identifying potential suppliers by conducting in‑depth analyses to ensure that we always have multiple strong candidates for any project.
This position will be responsible for identifying opportunities within the Marketing and Print categories, with a particular focus on creative services. The senior sourcing specialist supports complex projects, where expertise in advanced negotiation strategy, commercial risk assessment and data‑driven decision‑making are key. Thereby enabling the specialist to balance cost, quality, innovation and long‑term supplier value. Our senior sourcing specialists, while lead‑level individual contributors, often serve as informal leaders and mentors for more junior members of our team. An ideal candidate will have the experience, negotiation strength and thorough approach that ensures a successful solution every time.
While structured as an individual contributor role, this position is expected to consistently demonstrate leadership behaviors and operate as a trusted advisor within the organization. The Senior Sourcing Specialist will influence without authority, mentor junior team members, and serve as a trusted advisor to stakeholders. This role is well‑suited for individuals with prior people or project leadership experience who aspire to future leadership roles within Strategic Sourcing.
Key Responsibilities
Drive sourcing initiatives to reduce Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).
Develop and maintain key strategic relationships with our suppliers and clients.
Lead complex, high‑value negotiations material to business outcomes with key stakeholders and suppliers.
Tackle complex challenges using strong analytical thinking and data driven insights.
Guide clients through the sourcing process, supporting clarifying discussions when needed, to ensure the development of an in‑depth scope of work.
Provide a solutions‑oriented approach proactively delivering audience centric communication and high‑quality service.
Qualifications & Skills
5 or more years of strategic sourcing experience, ideally in the print and marketing services categories, supporting multiple complex clients or equivalent experience
Experience negotiating pricing and requirements as a part of services and/or manufacturing agreements
Lifelong learner and the ability to clearly communicate, including excellent verbal and presentation skills
Resourceful, effective at managing multiple tasks and projects independently
Builds strong working relationships across lines of business and leadership levels
Strong research and reporting skills, advanced Excel skills and the ability to analyze data and summarize key points
Deep understanding of end‑to‑end sourcing processes
Education
Bachelor's degree in relevant area such as business, finance, supply chain management, marketing or relevant work experience.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
Prior leadership experience within sourcing
CPM, CIRM, CPIM, or similar certifications preferred.
Graduate / Master's degree in business or another quantitative field
Certified Six Sigma Black Belt (CSSBB)
