12-Month Contract (Extension Possible) Position Summary The Marketing Analyst II supports digital, web, and marketing analytics for Xcel Energy’s Communications and Marketing organization. This role is responsible for analyzing campaign performance, interpreting digital customer behavior, and delivering actionable insights that inform marketing strategy and enhance customer experience. This position requires hands-on experience with Google Analytics and digital marketing metrics, along with strong analytical, reporting, and presentation capabilities. Responsibilities
Analyze digital, web, and marketing campaign performance across multiple channels. Utilize Google Analytics and related platforms to assess web traffic, impressions, click-through rates (CTR), CPM, video views, engagement trends, and customer behavior. Build and maintain recurring dashboards and reporting cadences (weekly, monthly, and campaign-based reporting). Interpret and communicate insights to internal stakeholders to support marketing strategy and performance optimization. Assess performance of new and existing marketing programs and recommend improvements. Develop and maintain reporting that demonstrates the impact of marketing activities on business outcomes. Support integration and consolidation of multiple marketing data sources. Work with external and internal reporting tools and vendors (e.g., Medallia, agency performance reports). Conduct market research and evaluate competitive landscape trends that may influence performance. Develop tests and testing parameters (A/B testing or campaign performance evaluation). Design, recommend, and implement improvements to analytics processes and reporting methodologies. Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field. Approximately 3 years of experience in marketing analytics, digital analytics, or data analysis. Hands-on experience using Google Analytics (required). Strong understanding of digital marketing metrics (CTR, CPM, impressions, conversions, engagement metrics). Experience building dashboards and recurring performance reports. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). Basic understanding of statistical concepts and analytic methodologies. Strong communication and presentation skills with ability to explain insights to non-technical stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications
Digital marketing or analytics certifications (e.g., Google Analytics certification). Experience in retail, consumer, or technology industries (utilities experience not required). Experience with digital experience platforms and customer feedback tools (e.g., Medallia). Experience developing financial or performance modeling tools. Core Competencies
