The Boston University (BU) Institute for Global Sustainability (IGS) is a university-wide center that builds research initiatives to advance a sustainable and equitable future. Our focus areas are planetary and environmental health, climate governance, and energy systems, and our cross-cutting approaches are equity and justice, robust data science, and real-world impact. Responsibilities
Contribute to content development and promotion for IGS events, including coordination with internal and external partners, promotional content development, and event logistics.
Manage social media accounts, including day‑to‑day content strategy and creation for interpretation of faculty research and coverage of institute events.
Manage website content and regular updates in support of research and events.
Participate in the recruitment and management of student communications assistants.
Manage internal communications mechanisms, including updates to IGS email lists, calendars, and databases.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of related work experience.
A cover letter is required for consideration.
