J.A. Greene Construction Services, LLC, a design/build construction company specializing in commercial projects, is seeking a Project Designer to join our team. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals with a passion for design, finishes, and a diverse skill set. The Project Designer will play a crucial role in creating and coordinating drawings, collaborating with consultants, and contributing to the overall success of our projects.
Responsibilities
Create detailed drawings using AutoCAD and/or Revit, ensuring accuracy and compliance with design standards. Lead the interior design aspects of projects, including selecting finishes and materials that align with the project's aesthetic and functional requirements. Collaborate with the project team to develop innovative designs for a variety of commercial projects, ranging from interior renovations to ground-up medical buildings. Coordinate with external consultants, such as structural engineers and MEP professionals, to integrate their input into the design process effectively. Utilize digital 3D rendering tools to create realistic visualizations and presentations of architectural designs. Assist with graphic design tasks, such as creating marketing materials, presentation boards, and project documentation. Facilitate commercial permitting processes by preparing and submitting necessary architectural drawings and documentation. Maintain organized project files, including architectural drawings, specifications, and correspondence, ensuring efficient retrieval of information as needed. Demonstrate proficiency with all Microsoft Suite programs, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Continuously enhance architectural and design skills through professional development opportunities and staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices. Requirements
Mandatory experience working with Revit and AutoCAD. Preferred experience selecting finishes for commercial projects. Experience in functional drawing creation is essential. Additional experience in digital 3D rendering (like Enscape), graphic design, and commercial permitting is highly desired. Proficient in drafting techniques and design principles. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively. Excellent proficiency in all Microsoft Suite programs. Familiarity with selecting finishes and materials for commercial projects. Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate and error-free work. Ability to coordinate and collaborate effectively with consultants and other project team members. Must be fluent in English and possess a working vehicle.
