About the Role As a Senior Business Analyst – Cards & Money Movement, you will make an impact by leading functional analysis and solution design across card issuing and acquiring platforms, as well as core money movement rails such as ACH, RTP, and wires. You will be a valued member of a cross‑functional delivery team and work closely with product, engineering, and client stakeholders to translate complex business needs into scalable, compliant, and high‑performing payment solutions.
In this role, you will:
Lead requirements discovery and functional design across card lifecycle and end‑to‑end money movement processes.
Translate business and regulatory requirements into clear functional specifications, user stories, process flows, and interface designs.
Partner with engineering teams to define integrations across processors, gateways, cores, and fraud or AML platforms.
Ensure solutions align with payment network rules, regulatory requirements, and operational risk controls.
Support implementation activities including UAT planning and execution, defect triage, and production readiness.

What you need to have to be considered
5–8+ years of experience in payments, cards, or money movement environments.
Hands‑on experience with card issuing or acquiring, settlements and reconciliation, and dispute or chargeback processes.
Working knowledge of payment rails and standards such as ACH, RTP, wires, ISO 8583, and ISO 20022.
Proven ability to translate business needs into functional requirements, user stories, and test scenarios.
Experience supporting UAT and driving operational readiness for production releases.
These will help you stand out
Experience with payment processors, switches, gateways, or issuer platforms.
Familiarity with PCI DSS, NACHA, card network rules, and AML or OFAC requirements.
Ability to perform data analysis or validation using SQL or similar tools.Experience reviewing message traces, logs, or payment flows for issue resolution.
Familiarity with Agile delivery models and tools such as Jira, Confluence, or Azure DevOps.

Total Compensation The base salary for this position ranges between $64,350 - $101,500 per year. This position is eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
