Responsibilities
Develops and maintains relationships with potential and existing customers
Identifies and locates new customers through a variety of methods including networking and cold calls
Applies knowledge of the field and product features to match products to the needs of customers
Answers inquiries from clients concerning products, their uses, and the industry at large
Provides information, quotes, and other bid specifications to customers
Negotiates prices, terms of sales, and/or service agreements; prepares contracts and submits orders
Collaborates with purchasing departments, managers, and other staff to confirm that orders are processed with accuracy and efficiency
Periodically prepares and reports results, status of accounts and leads to manager
Ability to handle multiple projects at once
Assist customers at the counter in a positive and professional manner
Performs other duties as assigned
Experience, Education And Skills
High School Diploma or GED is required
2+ years of experience in Customer Service
Fluid Power experience a plus
Proficient in Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Office 365, PDF, PowerPoint)
Familiar with common office equipment (Printers, Copier, Fax, etc.)
Excellent Customer Service Skills
Self-starter who works well independently
Ability to prioritize given task and work efficiently towards completing them
Detail-orientated and exceptional organizational skills
Strong problem solver and analytical thinker
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Workday is a standard 8 hours and is spent in an office setting, sitting for extended periods of time
