Transportation Driver

We are seeking a dependable, caring, and safety-focused Transportation Driver to join our skilled nursing team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, values meaningful connections, and takes pride in ensuring residents arrive safely to their medical appointments and community destinations.
As a Transportation Driver, you’ll be a vital part of our residents’ care experience — providing safe transport, supporting clinical staff, and helping residents feel comfortable and cared for every step of the way.

What You’ll Do
Coordinate and transport residents to and from medical appointments, outpatient programs, and community facilities
Develop and follow a daily driving schedule based on resident needs and appointment priorities
Transport new or returning residents from hospitals or other facilities
Observe residents during transport and report any changes in condition to nursing staff
Assist with safe lifting, transferring, and mobility support as directed by clinical staff
Maintain the facility vehicle — keeping it clean, safe, and in good working condition
Communicate professionally with hospitals, clinics, and outside providers to ensure smooth scheduling
Notify nursing leadership promptly of any changes in appointment times or transportation needs
Provide hydration and ensure resident comfort during transport
Protect resident belongings and maintain confidentiality at all times
Qualifications
Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) in good standing (required)
Valid Driver’s license in good standing
Successful completion of a State-Approved Nurse Aide Training Program
Current BLS/CPR certification (required)
Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient-centered approach
Ability to safely assist with resident transfers and mobility
