Role Overview The Associate Designer will support the design and development of Splendid’s women’s wovens collections, partnering closely with the Senior Designer and Senior Design Director throughout the seasonal process. This role requires a strong foundation in wovens design, an eye for brand-appropriate detail, a strong understanding of garment construction and the ability to manage multiple components of the design process from concept through sample approval in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Contribute to the design and development of seasonal wovens collections in alignment with the Splendid brand aesthetic.
Create and update sketches, line sheets, and concept boards with increasing ownership and attention to detail.
Develop clear, detailed technical drawings and CADs to communicate design intent, construction, and proportion.
Support fabric, trim, and yarn selection in partnership with senior team members.
Initiate and track sample requests; manage ongoing communication with vendors to support development timelines.
Review proto and sample submissions, flag issues, and propose solutions in collaboration with the design team.
Participate in fit sessions and assist in reviewing samples, documenting comments, and updating tech packs accordingly.
Maintain accurate and organized design documentation, including line sheets, catalogs, and sample tracking.
Partner cross-functionally with Product Development and Production to support seasonal milestones and deadlines.
Assist in preparing collections for internal reviews and buyer presentations.
Assist in supporting senior members of the team in the day‑to‑day set up of key meetings and milestones.
Perform additional duties as needed to support the Design team
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or a related field
Minimum 3 years of professional design experience, with a strong focus on women’s wovens
Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, Adobe Illustrator, and Photoshop
PLM experience a must – Centric preferred
Strong flat‑sketching skills, both by hand and digitally
Solid understanding of garment construction, fabrics, yarns, and trims
Ability to interpret trends and translate them into brand‑appropriate, commercial designs
Strong organizational, communication, and time‑management skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast‑paced, on‑site environment
Creative, collaborative, proactive mindset with a strong sense of ownership and follow‑through
This a hybrid role, with 4 days in our NYC office PAY RATE: $65,000/yr-$80,000/yr At Delta Galil, we strive to hire and nurture amazing talent. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to experience, specialized skills, and internal alignment.
