Core functions and responsibilities

Data Mining Sales Specialist – Key Functions

1. Lead Identification & Data Mining

Use digital tools (AI Search Engines, LinkedIn, ZoomInfo, Apollo) to identify potential customers and markets.

Extract relevant contact information and company details.

Perform keyword, industry, and competitive research to refine lead lists.

2. Lead Qualification & Segmentation

Segment contacts by industry, size, buying intent, engagement level, and decision‑maker role.

Identify high‑value accounts.

3. Data Cleaning & Quality Assurance

Maintain accuracy of data in CRM or lead databases.

Validate email addresses/phone numbers.

4. Sales Intelligence Reporting

Build reports on:

lead volume

prospecting performance

5. Collaboration with Sales & Marketing

Work with sales team to align lead‑generation campaigns.

7. Performance Optimization

Continuously improve lead mining methods.

Test new sources and AI tools.

Overview

The Data Mining Sales Support Specialist plays a critical role in supporting the sales organization by identifying, extracting, and analyzing high‑quality leads from digital sources. This role combines sales intelligence, research, and data enrichment to help drive pipeline growth and improve sales efficiency. The ideal candidate is data‑driven, highly organized, and skilled at turning raw information into actionable insights for our sales team.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead Identification & Prospect Research

Mine digital sources using AI tools and other platforms (LinkedIn, ZoomInfo, Apollo, company websites, databases, social media) to identify potential customers.

Locate and verify contact details for key decision‑makers.

2. Data Collection, Enrichment & Validation

Enrich lead records with accurate company and contact information.

Validate email addresses, phone numbers, and firmographic data.

3. Lead Qualification & Segmentation

Segment leads by industry, company size, role.

Identify target accounts for specific products

4. CRM & Tool Management

Maintain data integrity in CRM (Claritysoft)

5. Collaboration & Sales Support

Work with Sales Rep’s to supply curated, high‑quality lead lists.

Qualifications

Experience in sales research, data mining, or lead generation.

Some experience with CRM and data platforms.

Analytical with strong attention to detail.

Excellent internet research and digital prospecting skills.

Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and handle high‑volume data tasks.

Preferred Skills (Nice‑to‑Have)

Basic data analysis abilities (Excel, AI, Tableau, or similar).

Any past sales experience

Success Metrics

Accuracy and completeness of lead data.

Volume of qualified leads delivered.

Conversion rates of mined leads into opportunities.

Efficiency improvements in data workflows.
