Company Overview Our client is a privately held American manufacturer, founded in 1967 and based in Hudson, New York, that specializes in producing high-performance plastic hardware and precision components through in-house processes like CNC machining, injection molding, and mold building. Its products—such as plastic fasteners, screws, nuts, washers, and custom parts—serve diverse sectors including aerospace, semiconductor, electronics, chemical processing, and industrial applications.

Salary $50,000 – $80,000 base salary (based on experience), with On-Target Earnings (OTE) of $80,000 – $100,000 in Year 1.

Job Summary Responsible for driving sales growth by managing existing customer accounts, developing new business opportunities, preparing quotes and orders, monitoring market competition, and maintaining strong client relationships within the plastics or related manufacturing industry.

Job Responsibilities

Serve customers by selling products and meeting customer needs.

Service existing accounts, obtain orders, and establish new accounts by planning and organizing daily outreach to current and prospective customers.

Submit quotations and orders accurately and in a timely manner.

Keep management informed by submitting activity and performance reports.

Monitor competition by gathering marketplace information on pricing, products, new offerings, and delivery schedules.

Recommend changes in products, services, and policies based on competitive analysis.

Resolve customer complaints by investigating issues, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to management.

Maintain professional and technical knowledge through publications, networking, and attending trade shows.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

3–5 years of experience in plastics or a related industry.

Engineering or design background preferred.

Experience with machined, molded, CNC, plastics, fasteners, or related products is a plus.

Strong skills in customer service, prospecting, negotiation, product knowledge, presentations, client relationship management, and sales motivation.
