Manager, Inside Sales The Manager, Inside Sales for our Rheem Air Distribution businesses will lead and develop an inside sales team focused on driving profitable growth within the HVAC, plumbing, and multi‑trade contractor market. This role is responsible for managing day‑to‑day inside sales operations, building strong customer relationships, and ensuring exceptional service to contractors through proactive engagement and solution selling. The ideal candidate has experience in wholesale distribution and a deep understanding of HVAC and plumbing products.
This position will serve our Rheem Northeast Distribution Division and will be based at an RND Branch.
Responsibilities
Hire, train, and coach inside sales representatives to achieve sales targets and deliver outstanding customer service.
Set clear performance goals and monitor KPIs that align with departmental and organizational objectives such as revenue growth, margin improvement, and customer retention.
Foster a collaborative, high‑performance culture within the inside sales team, including quarterly in‑person meetings.
Manage the inside sales account assignments and portfolios in conjunction with outside sales management.
Develop and implement sales strategies to grow share of wallet with existing customers and acquire new contractor accounts.
Drive upselling and cross‑selling initiatives for HVAC and plumbing products.
Collaborate with leadership, outside sales, operations, purchasing and marketing teams to align on pricing, promotions, products, and inventory availability.
Ensure timely and accurate order processing, quoting, and follow‑up.
Resolve escalated customer issues and maintain strong relationships with key accounts.
Leverage CRM tools to track customer interactions and identify growth opportunities.
Monitor and manage daily workflow to ensure efficiency and accuracy in order entry and fulfillment.
Analyze call reports, sales reports, and market trends to identify opportunities for improvement.
Maintain compliance with company policies, pricing guidelines, and credit procedures.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or related field (we can call out other degrees if we’d like but this is normal for sales).
7+ years of experience in the HVAC industry.
7+ years of experience in customer service, counter sales, or inside sales.
Prior supervisory experience preferred, specifically managing a distribution branch or inside sales team.
Knowledge and track record of providing superior customer service.
Must be able to work independently with minimum direction and have the ability to delegate tasks when necessary.
Must be able to deal with customers, contractors, and associates in a professional manner.
Ability to analyze data and make strategic decisions.
Ability to research emergent technologies related to the industry.
High level of organization and follow through.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Skilled in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Must live in the states in which Rheem Air Distribution operates.

Pay Scale The pay scale for this position $81,900 - $150,228. Please note all pay ranges are broadly stated and any final offer is dependent on factors such as location, direct experience, market guidance and internal equity, among other qualifying criteria.
