This role seeks a proactive, relational, and talented individual with a strong commitment to excellence to strengthen our team. The ideal candidate will have a background in outside sales, relationship management, business development, marketing/channel development, financial planning, law, and/or accounting, and will serve primarily the Missouri and Kansas areas with a strategic focus on KC, Springfield, Columbia, and St. Louis. A passion and calling for the work of NCF and advancing the Kingdom is essential. Relationship Manager

The Relationship Manager proactively initiates and nurtures new relationships with high‑capacity givers (HCG/UHCG). The position will grow HCG/UHCG relationships, assets, contributions, and grants, walking alongside givers and shepherding them as they grow in their spiritual journey of generosity. Support givers in stretching their faith and giving abundantly through cash and non‑cash gifts using various giving vehicles. Cultivate relationships that ultimately produce referrals and prospects. Reporting & Environment

Reports to: NCF Heartland President Management/Supervision: None Location: Hybrid – 15% in‑office in Overland Park, KS; 85% external engagement (meetings with givers, advisors, etc.) Work hours: 40 h per week, with additional hours during peak periods and projects. Travel: Primarily within Missouri, Kansas, Iowa, Nebraska; minimal travel outside the Heartland area (2–3 times yearly). Candidate location: Must live in Missouri or Kansas. Duties And Responsibilities

Giver Engagement (40%)

Proactively reach out to new and existing givers—including recent transitions from existing portfolios—to build trust, increase awareness, connect them to the larger community, and explore new ways to serve. Influence and instill trust while working closely with givers to identify giving solutions aligned with their long‑term goals. Motivate and inspire givers to develop a giving strategy for ongoing generosity and succession planning. Co‑develop personalized giving plans with givers that incorporate accountability and progression along their generosity journey. Prospect Development (35%)

Proactively cultivate relationships with prospective givers. Gather referrals from advisory board members, existing givers, and professional advisors. Network with community partners, ministries, organizations, and councils. Channel Development (20%)

Develop strategic relationships with targeted advisors (financial planners, accountants, attorneys) and ministries. Reach and influence organizations with a constituency that desires to increase capacity for giving and kingdom impact. Strategic Planning (5%)

Work with the NCF Heartland team to develop innovative approaches to unite multiple generations around biblical generosity and determine strategic growth priorities for the Heartland region. Personal, Spiritual, and Professional Development

Demonstrate commitment to personal, spiritual, and professional maturity through regular prayer, Scripture study, and Christian learning mechanisms. Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending seminars, workshops, reviewing publications, and participating in professional societies. Building Christian Community Through Demonstrating Biblical Principles

Integrate biblical principles in day‑to‑day behavior, exhibiting integrity and strong moral character. Model daily faithfulness to God and love and service to others. Pray regularly for employees, givers, and charities involved with NCF. Attend weekly NCF Devotions and other NCF community building events. Other Duties And Responsibilities

Personal Beliefs

Profession based on the conviction that Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior. Dedication to biblical Christianity and a lifestyle consistent with the Book of Matthew. Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or certification preferred (MBA, JD, CFA, CKA, CFP, CPA, CAP, CTFA). Experience

Minimum of three years in outside sales, business ownership, financial planning/wealth management, sales, relationship management, business development, marketing/channel development, or law/accounting. Experience with Kingdom Advisors, C12, Convene, or other Christian business or leadership forums a plus. Understanding of the generous giving space and Journey of Generosity (JOG) a plus. Previous experience serving high‑net‑worth individuals, families, and advisors preferred; ability to properly serve and communicate with high‑net‑worth givers. Previous charitable giving, non‑profit, or ministry experience preferred. Strong network in Missouri, Kansas, Iowa, and Nebraska preferred. Basic understanding of personal tax rules preferred. Working knowledge of basic business financial reports (P&L, Balance Sheet) preferred. Knowledge Base

Proven aptitude for real‑time problem diagnosis and solving. Working knowledge of charitable, non‑profit, foundation, and/or donor‑related subject matters preferred. Marketing and social media experience a plus (LinkedIn, etc.). Ability to work independently. Knowledge of SharePoint, ShareFile, etc. helpful. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Knowledge of a CRM tool (e.g., Salesforce) preferred. Competencies
