Graphic Designer-I
is a key creative voice in shaping how The Potter’s House shares its mission with the world. More than just executing visuals, this role helps translate vision into powerful design that connects deeply with our community.
From digital platforms to social media, the
Graphic Designer-I
crafts bold, meaningful, and innovative visuals that elevate storytelling and amplify impact. Partnering closely with the
Creative Director and Art Director , this role contributes to design concepts that not only inspire but also reflect the heart and spirit of The Potter’s House.
Key Responsibilities VISUAL STORYTELLING & Brand identity
Design creative assets that align with The Potter’s House branding, ensuring consistency across all platforms.
Develop digital and print materials, including sermon graphics, event promotions, social media content, email templates, and signage.
Create compelling visuals that support storytelling efforts across worship services, ministry programs, and community initiatives.
GRAPHIC DESIGN & Content Creation
Design graphics for weekly Sunday and Wednesday services (evergreen content, sermon series, worship experiences).
Produce visuals for seasonal campaigns and holidays (Christmas, Easter, Back-to-School, etc.).
Develop branding and promotional assets for events, conferences, and outreach initiatives.
Create motion graphics and static visuals optimized for digital, print, and large-scale in-house (Sanctuary screens, Lobby LED walls, kiosks, and other environmental displays) ensuring a cohesive look and feel.
Design engaging social media graphics, motion graphics, and multimedia assets optimized for Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and TikTok.
Develop on‑brand templates for digital and print content, ensuring a seamless look and feel across all channels.
Collaborate with videographers and content creators to enhance motion‑based storytelling with graphic overlays and animations.
Creative Strategy & innovation
Work closely with the Creative Team (Creative Director and Art Director) to develop new design concepts and campaigns that resonate with the TPH audience and newcomers.
Stay ahead of design trends and emerging digital aesthetics to ensure fresh and innovative branding for The Potter’s House.
Assist in creating visual branding for special initiatives, conferences, and ministry events.
Develop compelling visual presentations to support internal and external communications.
Collaboration & Oversight
Work directly with the Creative Director/Head of creative to ensure visuals align with the Vis ID created for a campaign or project.
Partner with Art Director, Copy Team and Social Media Managers to create high‑impact graphics that drive engagement.
Work in tandem with Production, PHAME, and TV teams to ensure visuals align with worship flow, stage design, and broadcast standards.
Maintain an organized asset library, ensuring easy access to design files and templates.
Required Skills
Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, InDesign, After Effects) and design tools like Canva.
Strong understanding of typography, color theory, and layout design for both digital and print.
Experience creating motion graphics, animations, and GIFs for social media and video content.
Ability to work in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong understanding of branding, visual storytelling, and user experience (UX) design in Figma.
Photography and/or video editing skills are a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or a related field.
3‑5 years of experience in graphic design, preferably in a faith‑based, nonprofit, or mission‑driven organization.
Experience working with social media teams and digital marketing to create engaging visual campaigns.
Understanding of print production, large‑scale signage, and merchandise design.
