$40–42/hour The Social Media Manager is responsible for developing and executing the brand’s social media strategy across all channels, translating marketing initiatives into a cohesive social content plan that drives awareness, engagement, and community growth. This role oversees day-to-day content operations—including briefing agencies, managing asset flow, and coordinating shoot needs—while also stepping in to create content as needed. The ideal candidate brings strong strategic thinking, exceptional organization, and a deep understanding of platform best practices and creator culture. Key Responsibilities
Translate campaign and promotional calendars into a consistent, platform specific social activations Ensure content ladders into broader marketing strategies, merch goals, and seasonal priorities Maintain a pulse on platform trends, competitive activity, and emerging formats Oversee content production from start to finish, including creative planning, approvals, and final delivery Content Production & Asset Management
Build and manage shot lists for content shoots; attend shoots to capture additional content as needed Partner with Creative team on copy, graphics, animations, and still assets Step in as a light-weight creator in a pinch—capturing behind-the-scenes content, simple UGC-style videos, or quick-turn social assets Agency & Cross functional Collaboration
Develop and deliver clear briefs to our agency partners, outlining strategy, product priorities, messaging, KPIs, and deliverables Serve as the point of contact for the agency; ensure they have all assets and information required to execute Work with Merchandising on sample procurement and coordinate shipping of products to creators or influencer partners Content Review & Quality Control
Conduct Round 1 reviews to ensure concepts and executions align with strategy, brand guidelines, and channel best practices Provide clear, actionable feedback to agency partners, creators, and internal teams Maintain quality standards across all published content Publishing & Community
Publishing is managed by our agency, but publishing of non-agency assets or in timely situations will be required, Ensure our Agency maintains community engagement SLAs, advise on brand voice and escalation needs Oversee UGC curation, review, and reposting, ensuring content fits brand standards and rights are secured when needed Influencer Program Support
Collaborate with Influencer agency on campaign planning, content needs, and samples Vet creators in partnership with Public Relations Coordinate asset needs, product seeding, and content approval workflows Ensure influencer deliverables map to overall social strategy and monthly content plans Performance & Optimization
Review content performance in partnership with analytics and agency teams Identify optimizations, trends, and learnings to refine future content and improve engagement Maintain awareness of platform algorithm shifts and community behavior to adjust strategies proactively Qualifications
5+ years in social media strategy or content planning Strong understanding of platform trends, best practices, and content formats (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, Pinterest) Experience collaborating with creators, agencies, and cross?functional teams Comfortable capturing simple content on mobile when needed Strong project management, communication, and organizational skills Experience with social tools (Sprinklr, Sprout, Later, etc) Retail, lifestyle, or consumer brand experience is a plus
