Summary The Key Account Manager will be responsible for maintaining and developing relationships with key clients to maximize revenue and profits for DSV. They will work closely with internal teams to ensure clients receive the highest level of service and support.
Duties and Responsibilities
Develop and maintain relationships with key clients in the transportation and logistics industry
Identify opportunities for growth and expansion within the existing client base
Collaborate with internal teams to develop customized solutions for clients
Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements with clients
Maintain regular communication with clients to ensure satisfaction and address any issues
Conduct market research to stay up-to-date with industry trends and competition
Provide regular reports and updates to management on account status and progress
Educational background / Work experience
Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, or a related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales or account management in the transportation and logistics industry
Experience working with large, complex clients
Skills & Competencies
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Excellent negotiation and problem-solving abilities
Analytical mindset and ability to interpret data
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong organizational and time‑management skills
Supervisory Responsibilities (if any)
May manage a team of account managers or coordinators
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in business or logistics
Experience working with DSV's specific industry verticals (e.g. automotive, healthcare, retail)
Language skills
Fluent in English (oral and written)
Computer Literacy
Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM software
Familiarity with logistics‑specific software (e.g., TMS, WMS)
For this position, the expected base salary is:
$69,000 - $104,000 / Annual . Actual base compensation will be determined based on various factors including job‑related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.
