Sports Director

Under the supervision of the Senior Program Director, the Sports Director is responsible for the administration, management and oversight of various Sport Programs. The Sports Director has overall fiscal responsibility, program compliance and outcomes, and ensures the safety & well-being of all the students and participants. The Sports Director must be passionate and motivated to lead successful sports programs and activities at the YMCA. Sports programming at the YMCA is expected to be managed on a high level of coordination, communication and adapt to the changing needs of the members and trends in the field. Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, Recreation, Sport and Tourism, Kinesiology or other related field preferred. Minimum of two years of experience working with Sports programs preferred. Minimum of two years of experience and proven success hiring, managing, training & developing staff preferred. Knowledge of summer camps, youth sports, and general program administration. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community. Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
