
Senior Associate Director, Third Party Systems - University Advancement

* Build effective working relationships with department stakeholders, team members, and vendors involved in assigned third party system management; rely on knowledge and professional discretion to achieve goals.* Assist with providing escalated support and guidance to junior members of the team, who will interact with a broad range of clients to provide support, expert advice, and training delivery, including support for high-impact technology initiatives.* Support the implementation and management of third-party systems in the Advancement technology ecosystem, including requirements review and tool selection with stakeholders, project planning, risk assessment, and vendor management.* For assigned systems, lead efforts to reengineer and optimize business processes using technology solutions to gain efficiencies and reduce manual effort of stakeholders.* Set and manage customer and stakeholder expectations. Influence decision making on third party systems.* Develop, test and deploy enhancements and new third-party applications based on evolving business needs.* Collaborate with other development teams on work that crosses teams to ensure shared awareness of third-party application-related system changes that may affect other teams’ work.* Develop, test, and deploy changes to Salesforce, and guide junior team members in doing the same, in support of third-party system implementations, enhancements, and bug fixes.* Support the development of junior team members in understanding existing technical architecture, development work, and best practices in Salesforce development.* Develop, test, and deploy enhancements and bug fixes to Salesforce development work to support efforts of other development teams.* Troubleshoot issues within the third-party systems and related integrations.* Provide training and support for end users and maintain proper system access for user roles.* Stay up to date on changes and upcoming enhancements for assigned third party systems.* Prepare and maintain system documentation and instructions.* For assigned areas, collaborate with stakeholders within the organization and engage in benchmarking to stay abreast of technology solutions leveraged by other advancement organizations.* Normal office environment* Ability to travel to various on- and off-campus locations* Experience working in advancement and/or higher education.* A commitment to the mission of higher education.* Current Salesforce Platform Administrator, Platform App Builder, or Platform Developer I certification, or the ability to become certified within three months of start.* Up to 22 days of vacation, 10 recognized holidays, and sick time.* Competitive health insurance packages with priority appointments and lower copays/coinsurance.* Take advantage of our free Metro transit U-Pass for eligible employees.* WashU provides eligible employees with a defined contribution (403(b)) Retirement Savings Plan, which combines employee contributions and university contributions starting at 7%.* WashU covers the cost of tuition for you and your family, including dependent undergraduate-level college tuition up to 100% at WashU and 40% elsewhere after seven years with us.Washington University in St. Louis' collective success is significantly attributed to the passion and outstanding efforts of our community.
