Position Summary
Position Summary:
Penske's Retail Center Sales Representative will provide sales assistance to customers at the Retail Truck Center, ensuring trucks are ready and properly priced. The role maintains accurate inventory records and identifies units needed based on market demand.
Major Responsibilities
Achieve sales results by managing the local sales process – negotiate price, assist with financing, secure payment, title transfer, guide walk‑in customers, coordinate inspections for call‑center referrals, and complete the vehicle check‑out.
Work with the district to resolve issues during and after the sale.
Coordinate with the Remarketing team to sell aged inventory.
Manage inventory: complete daily yard checks, organize yard placement, maintain vehicle database, keep pricing and sell sheets current, and collaborate with the Out‑Service Center to ready units for sale.
Maintain accounts and deals in Sales Force, ensuring accurate and up‑to‑date data.
Schedule follow‑up tasks with customers who have purchased and those who have inquired but not bought.
Identify under or overpriced vehicles and work with the pricing team to align pricing with the market.
Collaborate with the Region Asset Manager to ensure each vehicle is properly represented with specs and pictures.
Ensure all system steps are followed to transfer units from the field to Remarketing for sale.
Complete other projects as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
Must be 21 years of age or older.
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
1 to 3 years of customer service experience required.
1 to 3 years of automotive or truck sales experience preferred.
Other retail sales experience preferred.
Strongly preferred: bilingual Spanish.
Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.
Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specified location, complete a Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (including employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening is required.
