
HVAC Sheet Metal Installer
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled
HVAC Sheet Metal Installer
to fabricate, assemble, install, and repair HVAC ductwork and related components on commercial projects. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, the ability to read construction drawings, and experience working safely on active job sites.
Key Responsibilities
Fabricate and install sheet metal ductwork, fittings, and HVAC components
Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and specifications
Measure, cut, bend, and fasten sheet metal using hand and power tools
Install duct systems according to SMACNA standards and project requirements
Seal, insulate, and support ductwork properly
Coordinate work with HVAC installers, foremen, and other trades
Maintain job site safety and comply with OSHA requirements
Load, transport, and manage materials and tools on job sites
Identify and report field issues or drawing conflicts
Maintain quality workmanship and productivity standards
Qualifications & Experience
2+ years of HVAC sheet metal installation experience
(commercial preferred)
Ability to read blueprints and duct layouts
Experience with spiral, rectangular, and lined duct systems
Proficient with hand tools, power tools, brakes, shears, and lifts
Knowledge of HVAC codes and installation best practices
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Ability to pass background check and drug screening
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, and on ladders or lifts
Ability to stand, kneel, bend, and work overhead for extended periods
Preferred (Not Required)
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
SMACNA training or apprenticeship completion
Experience with commercial or industrial HVAC systems

Competitive pay ranges from $20 - $36+ an hour depending on experience
