
Remote North America Legislation Content Specialist

In this role, you will act as a regional subject matter expert for legislation across the U.S. and Canada. You will provide leadership and detailed analysis on content acquisition, conversion standards, and publication workflows. By ensuring high-quality legislative datasets, you will positively impact the alignment between editorial strategy and user needs, contributing to the modernization of legislative workflows through advanced technologies and automation.
Accountabilities
Act as the primary SME for legislation across North America and Canada.
Advise on authoritative sources and update frequency across multiple projects.
Define content acquisition requirements aligned with global standards.
Provide guidance on conversion rules and publication workflows.
Develop and implement a content strategy for each jurisdiction.
Identify new legislative opportunities and improvements.
Translate requirements into actionable backlogs and user stories.
Lead defining editorial requirements for CMSs and workflows.
Produce high-quality editorial effort estimates.
Identify scope risks and communicate them to PMs.
Optimize tooling ecosystem for efficient editorial workflows.
Test new tools and provide structured feedback.
Coordinate editorial expertise across multiple projects.
Lead and participate in agile ceremonies.
Manage cross-workstream dependencies from acquisition to publication.
Collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure alignment.
Requirements
Law degree or equivalent.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in legal research or legislative content management.
Proven ability to lead agile ceremonies.
Demonstrated AI fluency and practical experience with AI tools.
Strong understanding of legislative frameworks in specialist jurisdictions.
