We are looking for a talented Junior/Intermediate Designer with 3-4 years of commercial interiors experience to join our Oakland, CA architecture studio. This role is ideal for a creative professional who is detail-oriented and driven to produce high-quality interior solutions for workplaces, retail spaces, and other commercial environments. Working in our Oakland office, you will collaborate closely with senior designers and project teams while gaining hands-on experience on diverse projects and opportunities for professional growth.

Responsibilities

Support design development and execution of commercial interior projects from concept through completion in Oakland-based projects.

Prepare detailed drawings, 3D models, presentations, and specifications using Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, or Adobe Creative Suite.

Collaborate with architects, project managers, and senior designers to ensure design intent is effectively communicated and realized.

Attend client meetings, design reviews, and presentations to present design concepts and gather feedback.

Research materials, finishes, furniture, and fixtures for proposals and project specifications.

Maintain project budgets, schedules, and quality standards while ensuring designs align with client expectations.

Organize and manage project files, documentation, and construction records for efficient team use.

Requirements

3-4 years of experience in commercial interior design, preferably including workplace, retail, or similar projects.

Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, or related design software.

Strong understanding of commercial interior materials, finishes, and furniture systems.

Skilled in creating high-quality presentations, renderings, and 3D visualizations.

Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational abilities.

Detail-oriented and capable of handling multiple project responsibilities simultaneously.

Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field preferred.

Familiarity with building codes, accessibility standards, and construction documentation is a plus.
