Catering & Events Team
The Opportunity
You would be the heartbeat of our events. As an Event Manager, you can lead the on‑site experience from load‑in to breakdown, ensuring every detail is executed with precision, professionalism, and care.
Are you able to seamlessly manage people, flow, and logistics in real time—creating memorable experiences for clients and guests alike?
You would lead teams of Servers, VIP Servers, Bartenders, Bar Captains, and Housemen, while communicating closely with your Support Manager and Direct Manager to deliver exceptional results.
Accountabilities Leadership & Team Excellence
Lead by example, modeling company values while setting clear expectations and holding staff accountable throughout set‑up, service, and breakdown.
Direct, mentor, and develop staff through pre‑shift lineups, real‑time coaching, and post‑event feedback.
Promote a positive, professional event‑day environment by managing resources, breaks, and team well‑being.
Pre‑Event Planning & Preparation
Review all BEOs, OPS Packs, pull sheets, diagrams, and timelines to ensure accuracy and event readiness.
Collaborate with Sales, Support Managers, Event Chef, and Houseman to confirm details, staffing, and equipment needs.
Plan staffing and logistics strategically based on event style, guest count, and service flow.
On‑Site Event Execution
Serve as the on‑site FOH lead, greeting clients and partners, conducting walkthroughs, and establishing clear communication.
Oversee load‑in, set‑up, service, and breakdown while managing service flow for plated, buffet, and station events.
Monitor team performance in real time, resolving issues quickly and maintaining service standards.
Staffing & Labor Management
Actively manage staffing levels to balance service excellence with labor efficiency.
Make real‑time staffing and dismissal decisions based on event progression and remaining tasks.
Track accurate timekeeping, document performance notes, and communicate concerns promptly through Nowsta.
Post‑Event Wrap‑Up
Ensure all breakdown, cleaning, linen counts, packing, and truck loading are completed correctly.
Conduct final venue walkthroughs, secure approvals, and complete FOH Event Recaps.
Return all equipment and tablets and secure vehicles and warehouse spaces to close out the event.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Knowledge of catering and FOH service operations, hospitality standards, and event logistics.
Strong leadership and communication skills, including coaching teams, resolving issues, and collaborating with clients and venues.
Excellent organization, adaptability, physical stamina, and ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to travel throughout the Greater Atlanta market to multiple venues.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during events, sometimes in demanding conditions.
Capability to lift and carry design/floral equipment (up to 50 lbs.), particularly during event setup or breakdown.
Prolonged periods sitting and working on office machinery and computer systems.
Occasional stooping, kneeling and crawling.
Occasional ascending or descending of ladders, stairs and/or ramps.
Frequent, continual, intermittent flexing and rotation of the spine, elbows and wrists.
Constant talking, expressing or exchanging ideas by means of spoken words and in the process of communicating with clients and employees.
