The Content Team leads organic social, video, editorial, and copy for catalog and web.

About the Role The Associate Social Media Manager supports and executes the social strategy for Williams Sonoma Home across Meta and Pinterest. This hands‑on role is ideal for someone passionate about interiors and end‑to‑end content creation—from shooting and editing to publishing and reporting. You’ll partner closely with Creative, Merchandising, PR, and Influencer teams to align content with business priorities and trends.

Responsibilities

Support development of the social media playbook, including campaigns, content pillars, channel best practices, and influencer strategy

Shoot and edit lo‑fi, social‑first content on set and in studio

Create posts from still photography and influencer assets

Manage content calendars and scheduling across platforms

Write engaging, platform‑optimized captions (in collaboration with copy as needed)

Source and secure rights for UGC

Publish and QA posts in Meta Business Suite and other tools, ensuring accurate links, product tags, and tracking parameters

Coordinate collaboration posts with influencers and partners

Maintain and refresh social profiles (pinned posts, cover imagery, curated shops, etc.)

Own community management and engagement

Partner with external vendors (e.g., Bazaarvoice, Respondology) to maintain best practices

Manage weekly organic social reporting and performance insights

Collaborate with design on social templates

Stay current on social trends and platform updates

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field

2+ years of experience managing social media in related field

Experience shooting and editing lo‑fi, social‑first video

Strong writing and communication skills

Highly organized and detail‑oriented

Passion for interior design and home content

Onsite in the San Francisco (Van Ness) office Monday–Thursday

The expected starting pay range for this position is $71,400 - $83,850. Applicable pay ranges may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job‑related factors permitted by law. In addition to competitive pay, compensation may include a variety of other components like benefits, paid time off, merit, and bonus opportunities.
