We are seeking a

Lead Apparel Designer

to drive the creative and technical development of apparel collections from concept through production alongside the design team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of conceptualizing across different product niches and verticals by way of

design, product development, and manufacturing execution .

Role Overview As Lead Apparel Designer, you will be responsible for translating creative vision into premium, production-ready products. You will lead design execution, oversee development, and collaborate with production teams to ensure every product meets the highest standards of quality, function, and aesthetic excellence.

Key Responsibilities Concept & Product Development

Lead concept development and seasonal product direction

Translate brand vision into commercially viable apparel

Develop silhouettes, trims, construction details, and finishing touches

Ensure products balance design excellence with performance and function

Technical Design & Execution

Create detailed tech packs and product specifications

Ensure accuracy for sampling and bulk production

Oversee fit approvals, revisions, and construction refinements

Maintain design integrity throughout development stages

Development & Production Collaboration

Work closely with production teams and factory partners

Guide sampling iterations and product improvements

Collaborate on material selection, trims, and construction methods

Ensure manufacturability without compromising design intent

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Partner with account managers, merchandisers, production and creative teams

Support client presentations and product reviews

Contribute to innovation in materials, performance, and construction

Help refine design workflows and product development systems

Qualifications

5+ years experience in apparel design and product development

Strong technical design and tech pack expertise

Deep understanding of garment construction and materials

Experience working with overseas production partners

Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator (PLM experience a plus)

Strong eye for detail, proportion, and premium finishing
