We are partnering with a founder‑led, high‑growth skincare brand with a strong DTC foundation and meaningful global reach. The business is profitable, subscription‑driven, and has achieved consistent multi‑year growth. The founder leads brand vision and storytelling. The VP of Marketing will serve as a true right hand to drive the next phase of revenue growth and subscription performance.
This role is ideal for a leader who has previously scaled a DTC brand from approximately $15–25M to $40M–$60M+ and can translate vision into measurable acquisition, retention, and revenue performance.
VP of Marketing (Growth Operator) Location: San Diego, CA | Hybrid
Scope of Leadership
Scale paid acquisition with disciplined CAC management
Improve subscription retention, including 3‑ and 6‑month performance metrics, and overall lifetime value
Align marketing performance with contribution margin goals
Drive structured creative testing and ongoing performance optimization
Oversee paid media and lifecycle marketing across core digital channels
Improve global funnel performance and support international expansion
Build and lead a high‑performing growth team
Establish KPI visibility and accountability across the function
Requirements
8–15 years of progressive marketing leadership within high‑growth consumer brands
Proven experience scaling a DTC business, ideally from ~$15–25M to $40–60M+
Deep expertise in subscription‑driven growth models
Strong fluency in paid performance and core financial metrics (LTV, CAC, margin)
Experience operating effectively in a founder‑led environment
International growth exposure preferred
Systems‑oriented with demonstrated operational rigor
Culture Fit

Compensation
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $210k – $250k annually.
This range represents the good‑faith estimate of the pay the employer reasonably expects to offer upon hire, based on the role’s responsibilities, required experience, location, and internal equity.
Incentives & benefits. This position may be eligible for discretionary, performance‑based bonuses and participation in applicable incentive programs.
