Primary Purpose of Job The Marketing Coordinator ensures smooth execution of marketing operations, promotional activities, and event coordination. This role supports the team by maintaining promotional inventory, tracking marketing initiatives, and assisting in campaign execution.

Ensures the confidentiality of customer non-public personal information and secures information systems to comply with bank regulations.

Essential Functions and Performance Area Marketing Operations

Manage promotional store inventory, signage, and marketing materials;

Supports the Digital Marketing Strategist with tracking campaigns;

Supports the Marketing Department as a liaison between the Marketing Team and internal / external teams to ensure project timelines are met; and,

Support branch openings, community events, and local marketing initiatives.

Campaign & Content Support

Assist the Digital Content Manager and Content Specialist in scheduling campaigns;

Reviews and monitors online content made by others related to the bank, including social media and online reviews, posts, and comments. Responds as needed;

Reviews and monitors comments on Southern Banks ads/organic posts. Responds as needed;

Ensure operational support for social media posting and campaign delivery; and,

Researches social media and marketing trends—both industry-specific and broader market trends—and reports relevant platform updates, emerging best practices, and competitive observations to the marketing team. Provides a bi-weekly summary to inform content planning, campaign execution, and operational adjustments.

Project Management & Workflow

Maintain project schedules and ensure deadlines are met across digital campaigns, social media, and branch promotions.

Qualifications Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Strong organizational and project tracking skills;

Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively;

Basic familiarity with social media and marketing operations; and,

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Education, Training and Experience Requirements

Bachelor’s degree preferred.

1-3 year’s experience in marketing operations, event coordination, or administrative support.
