About the Role The Marketing Coordinator supports the marketing and promotional efforts of programs organized by the Experience & Engagement Department, as well as broader initiatives within the Communications and Marketing Department. This position works under the supervision of the Experience & Engagement Marketing Manager to assist in executing marketing strategies for customer service programs, special events, and community stakeholder initiatives.

The role requires a creative, organized professional with strong marketing support skills and the ability to engage diverse audiences. The Coordinator collaborates closely with team members to implement comprehensive marketing strategies that drive attendance, enhance brand awareness, and foster community engagement. Responsibilities include content creation, digital marketing support, vendor coordination, website updates, social media management, and supporting experiential elements at Town events.

Assist in creating engaging promotional content, including social media posts, email newsletters, website updates, information guides, and print materials.

Support execution of marketing strategies for the Town of Mooresville’s “one call for all” customer service program.

Assist Town departments in promoting community outreach programs and developing tools to solicit feedback and track engagement.

Schedule and post content across digital marketing platforms, including social media, email marketing platforms, and event listing websites.

Monitor and respond to social media comments, messages, and customer inquiries professionally and timely.

Monitor online brand mentions and assist in tracking brand reputation and customer reviews.

Assist in developing advertising content for print, digital platforms, promotional screens, and articles.

Support sponsor content creation and preparation of sponsor data reports.

Track campaign performance metrics and provide data for marketing analysis.

Assist in designing promotional materials including posters, flyers, banners, decals, and digital graphics.

Support experiential marketing elements at Town events to enhance visitor satisfaction.

Maintain and update the community calendar and coordinate with local businesses and organizations.

Support sales team marketing materials and lead generation activities.

Maintain organized photography and video asset files.

Assist in distributing promotional materials to media partners and community organizations.

Support media relations efforts including preparation of press materials.

Assist with ticketing platform operations and basic event hardware troubleshooting.

Create event maps, seating charts, and layouts as needed.

Compile marketing performance data including website traffic, social media metrics, email statistics, and ticket sales.

Assist with tradeshow and conference collateral preparation.

Support website updates for CMCC and Mooresville Events platforms.

Assist in maintaining vendor, sponsor, volunteer, and partner contact lists.

Support “Call to Artist” and “Call to Vendor” campaigns.

Coordinate with marketing vendors and assist with badge creation for events.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Work may include extended days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Associate’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Arts, Event Management, or a related field.

Two (2) or more years of experience in marketing, preferably in the arts, entertainment, or events industry.

Special Requirements

Possession of a valid North Carolina Driver’s License.

Ability to work extended days, evenings, weekends, and/or holidays as required.
