About the Role
Cougs 4 Kids, a program of Believe in Me, is seeking a Volunteer Day Camp Director
to lead planning and execution of an impactful day camp experience on
April 1–2, 2026 . This volunteer leadership role is ideal for someone with experience in event or program coordination who thrives on managing logistics, building plans that run smoothly, and ensuring a safe, organized experience for all involved. What You’ll Do
As the Day Camp Director, you will: Lead the operational plan that makes the day camp experience run effectively and efficiently. Build and manage the agenda, volunteer assignments, contingency plans, and overall schedule. Coordinate key logistics, including check-in/check-out flow, space readiness, supplies, signage, and accessibility needs. Support volunteer recruitment and role assignments to ensure clear expectations. Provide day-of leadership with briefings, timing oversight, positive troubleshooting, and team coordination. Lead wrap-up activities, including debrief notes and recommendations for future camps. Time Commitment
Planning is remote with a flexible schedule (typically ~2–3 hours/week, increasing closer to the event). On-site leadership is required during both camp days (April 1–2). We want volunteers who
Have experience organizing or directing events, programs, or complex logistics. Can make calm decisions in dynamic situations and communicate effectively with volunteers.
