SUMMARY:

Responsible for the planning, coordination, and supervision of all Estimating department personnel, ensuring strict adherence to Ludvik’s best practices and procedures. This role involves collaboration with the construction manager on strategic project selection; developing and maintaining excellent client relationships; offering expertise; and producing accurate electrical construction cost estimates. The position requires leading and managing the estimating department—including all staffing, training, and performance evaluations, and thoroughly reviewing all estimates for accuracy in takeoffs and proposals.

ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Analyze RFPs, ITBs, and Bid Documents to identify customer needs and project scope, collaborating with the Construction Manager to determine project viability and the project approach.

Outline upcoming opportunities and discuss contractor relationships and bid schedules.

Assign estimators to incoming projects and manage workloads.

Coordinates with vendors and subcontractors, ensuring all necessary documentation is in order and accurate, and competitive quotes are obtained.

Conducts cost estimation through quantitative take-offs and labor calculations, adhering to Ludvik standards and ethical requirements.

Prepares detailed proposals and follow-ups with customers to ensure timely submission, bid tracking, and a smooth handover to the Project Management group.

Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, vendors, and subcontractors.

Provide Executive leadership with insights into budgets, cost control, risk analysis, and strategic recommendations.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

Over 10 years of Industrial estimating experience, proficient in Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and electrical estimating software.

Deep understanding of NEC Code, construction methods, and the electrical industry, with strong skills in reading and interpreting blueprints.

Create and implement estimating strategies for large-scale projects and manage all preconstruction and bid activities.

Proven management abilities to effectively multitask, oversee estimates, forecast costs, and lead teams while fostering client relationships.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

Knowledge of NEC, NFPA 72, NFPA 70E, IBC, and IFC.

Experience with industrial water infrastructure projects.

Newforma project management software.
