Job Description:
Location: Remote Duration: 6-Month Contract Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM (Central Time)
The ideal candidate is a highly skilled
HSE (Health, Safety and Environmental) Learning and Development Content Creator
who can design and develop engaging training content that enhances workforce safety, reduces risk, and ensures compliance with environmental and safety regulations. The role requires strong instructional design expertise, advanced e-learning development skills, and experience delivering impactful training solutions within safety-driven or industrial environments.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and enhance HSE training programs and e-learning modules
Translate safety and compliance requirements into engaging, learner-centered content
Build interactive learning experiences using industry-standard authoring tools
Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to ensure technical accuracy
Manage projects from concept through final delivery
Ensure content aligns with adult learning principles and performance outcomes
Deliver materials on schedule while maintaining high quality standards
Required Qualifications Education:
High School Diploma required
Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Adult Education, Learning and Development, or related field preferred
Certifications in Instructional Design or Adult Learning are a plus
Experience:
Proven experience in instructional design and e-learning development
Experience in safety, compliance, or industrial sectors (construction, oil and gas, manufacturing, etc.) strongly preferred
Strong portfolio demonstrating interactive and multimedia course development
Required Technical Skills (Must-Have)
Advanced proficiency in Articulate 360 (Rise, Storyline) or Adobe Captivate
Intermediate to expert-level content creation skills
Advanced Google Suite skills
Strong project management capabilities
Must provide own compliant computer equipment
Required Software Proficiency
Adobe Creative Cloud (Audition, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere Pro)
Adobe Captivate (separate from Creative Cloud)
Articulate 360 (Rise, Storyline)
Google Workspace
Equipment Requirements (Candidate-Provided) Hardware:
Processor: Intel Core i7 or AMD Ryzen 7 (newer generation preferred)
RAM: 16GB minimum (32GB highly recommended for video editing)
Storage: 512GB SSD minimum (1TB preferred)
Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 or AMD Radeon RX 5500 recommended
Integrated graphics (e.g., Intel Iris Xe) acceptable for light video editing
Dual monitor setup
Operating System: Windows 10/11 or latest macOS
