Optimum and Southwest Women’s Oncology are seeking a dedicated and driven

Director of Legal Operations

to join our high-performance team in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Who We Are

Optimum and Southwest Women’s Oncology are two sides of the same coin, precision performance and profound compassion.

At Optimum, we help people become the best versions of themselves, combining cutting-edge medical science, biohacking, aesthetics, and human potential into a single ecosystem of vitality. At SWWO, we help women triumph over gynecologic illness through skill, courage, and heart. Together, we’re building something rare: a culture where clinical excellence meets human flourishing — where our team thrives as much as our patients and clients do.

Who You Are

You’re not looking for a corner office. You’re looking for a proving ground.

You’re early in your legal career, or a seasoned paralegal ready for more, and you want proximity to decision-making, complexity, and growth. You’re sharp, structured, and strategic. You can read a contract, summarize the risk, and tell us what actually matters.

You think like equal parts business operator and legal technician. You want mentorship. You want exposure. You want to learn how companies actually run, not just how they litigate.

You’re comfortable being 80–120% of the way there and bringing the final 10% forward for strategic refinement. You don’t wait to be told what to do but you are comfortable receiving feedback to continue to learn and grow. You ask better questions. You synthesize. You execute.

You’re hungry and coachable.

What You’ll Do

Translate Strategy into Structure

Review, draft, and refine contracts across vendors, employment, medical services, real estate, insurance, and strategic partnerships.

Create clean summaries of legal issues so leadership can make confident decisions quickly.

Build systems to track agreements, renewals, litigation support materials, and risk exposure.

Serve as the internal bridge between business operations and outside counsel.

Own the Contract Engine

Draft and redline agreements with precision and speed.

Assemble business documentation that supports negotiation and compliance.

Develop standardized templates to reduce friction and increase consistency.

Manage contract repositories and version control with discipline.

Think Like a Strategic Operator

Conduct targeted research (employment law, regulatory questions, business compliance) and pull the salient rules, not just copy statutes.

Interface with vendors, insurance carriers, consultants, and specialized outside counsel to gather necessary facts.

Support litigation and insurance matters by organizing facts, timelines, and documentation so outside counsel can operate efficiently.

Help reduce executive bandwidth drain by preparing materials that are decision-ready.

Protect the Business While Enabling Growth

Identify operational and contractual risks before they become expensive problems.

Support employment-related matters in partnership with HR and outside labor counsel.

Contribute to business expansion initiatives with structured legal and documentation support.

What You Bring

JD (bar admission a plus but not required) OR 5–10 years of senior paralegal/corporate contract experience.

1–5 years of exposure to corporate, healthcare, contracts, or business law environments preferred.

Strong contract drafting and analytical writing skills.

Ability to synthesize complex information into concise executive-ready summaries.

High discretion and professional maturity.

Comfort operating in a fast-paced, founder-led organization.

Bias for execution over theory.

Healthcare exposure is helpful but not mandatory. Intelligence, drive, and business curiosity matter more.

The Optimum/SWWO Culture

We move fast, think long-term, and care deeply. We don’t reward activity; we reward impact. We hire individuals who can self-manage, over-deliver, and elevate the people around them. We believe kindness and accountability are not opposites — they’re inseparable.

If you crave comfort, this isn’t it. If you crave mastery, meaning, and measurable impact — welcome home.

Compensation & Benefits

Competitive salary, leadership bonuses, health & wellness coverage, and a 401(k) — but more importantly, the chance to build a legacy.

Note: This is a full-time in-office position at our Albuquerque New Mexico office.
