About This Role Experienced inside sales professional working independently to generate leads, meet performance goals, and provide support to customers. May also provide input to team members. Responsible for improving processes to enhance inside sales performance.
Key Responsibilities
Meet or exceed sales targets for assigned accounts within designated region.
Achieve target revenue growth and profitability metrics by channel segment/customer.
Actively seek opportunities to convert customer purchases from competitive solutions.
Customer engagement through inbound and outbound calling activities.
Educate customers about new products, new legislation, product updates.
Demonstrate product knowledge to explain features and benefits, competitive awareness, to offer customer solutions.
Manage, maintain, and update customer interactions in a tracking system.
Work collaboratively with Regional Sales Managers and 3rd party rep agencies to ensure high levels of support.
Coordinate with customer service, finance, and logistics to ensure timely responses to customer needs.
Less than 20% travel to customer meetings, tradeshows, events, etc.
Kidde Global Solutions is seeking an experienced Inside Sales Representative for the U.S. Commercial Sales channel.
This role will be responsible for tasks such as customer satisfaction, lead generation, account management, and providing excellent outstanding customer service within electrical and HVAC markets, with expansion to fire equipment distribution and Edwards Signaling.
This role will support a geographical area, including regional sales managers, to meet or exceed the region’s quota.
This role will also be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with customers, identifying new products, and promoting products and brands at industry shows.
The inside salesperson works closely with outside sales, trade marketing, logistics, customer service, engineering, and manufacturing.
Basic Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
3+ years of inside sales or account management experience in a manufacturing environment
3+ years of experience with Microsoft Office suite
Preferred Qualifications
3+ years of inside sales or account management experience in a manufacturing or similar environment
Inside Sales, Lead Generation, and Account Management skills
Fire safety specific experience is strongly preferred
Customer Satisfaction and Customer Service skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational and time management abilities
Experience with CRM software is a plus
Ability to work well in a team environment
Previous sales experience in the fire safety industry is preferred
Previous sales experience with electrical distribution and/or National Accounts is a plus
Ability to build and maintain relationships with customers
Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls and emails
Requires advanced knowledge obtained through a university degree, combined with experience
Live in Central (CST) or Mountain (MST) Time Zones
Compensation And Benefits Individuals may be eligible for an annual performance bonus based on both individual and company’s performance. The final compensation for this position will be set based on the individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience as it relates to the job requirements.
