Position: Director of Youth Ministry
**Mountain Park UMC is also seeking a Director of Children's Ministry at this time.
Mountain Park UMC is seeking a creative and innovative leader to serve as Director of Youth Ministry, a role that is part of our Family Ministries Team. We are seeking a team player who can grow with a thriving, diverse community of believers. This person will enter sacred places of wonder with our youth and their families.
This position is best suited for individuals with a passion for working with adolescents, an understanding of Wesleyan/United Methodist theology and mission, and an openness to learn and grow into the position.
The Director of Youth Ministry will create space for youth and their families to experience their faith fully through youth worship experiences, service projects, youth group meetings, and intergenerational relationship building. They will empower volunteers to embody their gifts through the ministries of the Church and come with wonder and a willingness to explore the depths of faith and discipleship with the youth and families of Mountain Park UMC. The Director will also supervise any staff or contractors involved in ministries for youth (Sixth Grade through age 18).
Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor's Degree Required
Two (2) - Three (3) years of experience in Youth Ministry Preferred
We are interested in applicants that might be Candidates for Ministry in the UMC
Physical Demands Employee must occasionally lift or move office supplies or other items up to 30 pounds.
Expected Hours of Work Part-time, 25 hours per week. Employee must be able to work on Sunday mornings and other designated times during the week.
Start Date The anticipated start date for this position is mid-May 2026.
