Business Development Manager | Professional Division | St. Louis, MO We are looking for a rare breed: someone with the competitive drive to win new business and the emotional intelligence to keep it. In this role, you aren't just passing leads off to someone else. You own the entire lifecycle. You find the client, you sign the client, and you become their most trusted partner as they grow.

The Challenge We are looking for a rare breed: someone with the competitive drive to win new business and the emotional intelligence to keep it. In this role, you aren't just passing leads off to someone else. You own the entire lifecycle. You find the client, you sign the client, and you become their most trusted partner as they grow.

The Dual-Role Breakdown Phase 1: The Hunter (Business Development)

Identify:

Use research and grit to find companies that don’t know they need us yet.

Initiate:

High-volume outreach (calls, emails, and site visits) to build your own book of business from scratch.

Close:

Lead the discovery process and pitch our value proposition to secure the initial "Win."

Phase 2: The Farmer (Account Management)

Retain:

Once the deal is signed, you are the face of the firm. You ensure the "honeymoon phase" never ends.

Expand:

Identify "upsell" opportunities. If they bought one service from us, why aren't they using three?

Strategize:

Conduct regular business reviews to ensure our solutions are evolving with the client’s needs.

What the Role Demands

The Hunt : You will identify, hunt, and close new business opportunities. You aren't waiting for leads; you are creating them.

The Pitch : You can walk into a room of C-suite executives and command the floor. You sell solutions, not just "temps."

The Pace : The professional world moves fast. A lead today is a closed deal tomorrow—but only if you’re faster than the competition.

The Resilience : You will face gatekeepers, shifting client priorities, and the occasional "not interested." We need someone who shakes off the setbacks and stays focused on the win.

The "Dual-Threat" Profile Since this role sits at the intersection of aggressive growth and long-term care, we hire based on this specific framework:

High Accountability:

You don't need a manager to tell you to hit your numbers; you treat your territory like your own franchise.

Adaptable Communication:

You can be "assertive" when negotiating a contract and "empathetic" when solving a service issue.

Strategic Patience:

You understand that while a "Cold Call" happens in seconds, a "Relationship" is built over months.

Are You Qualified?

The Minimum : 3+ years of B2B sales where you actually had a quota and actually hit it.

The Mobility : A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are essential for navigating your territory.

The Grit:

You see "No" as the start of the conversation, not the end.

The Edge : If you have a degree or staffing experience, great. If you have a track record of outworking everyone in the room, better.

The Payload

Base : $50,000–$65,000/year.

The Upside : Uncapped Commission + Performance Bonuses. We don't cap your ambition.

The Support : 401(k) match, comprehensive health/dental, and a "Flexible PTO" policy—because we trust professionals to manage their own time.
