
Outside Sales Representative

Description:
The Outside Sales Representative will make direct sales calls on Commercial, Institutional and Industrial accounts. This individual will develop sales strategies and attract new clients. They will source new sales opportunities and close sales to achieve goals. They will play a key role in increasing income and revenue by managing, quoting and negotiating with clients. Generating leads, qualifying prospects and managing sales of products and services are also desired skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify, develop and maintain key accounts
Set & maintain weekly visitation schedule with customers
Evaluate the customer’s needs while building productive, long lasting relationships
Forecast sales, develop “out of the box” sales strategies/models and evaluate their effectiveness
Research accounts and generate or follow up on sales leads
Maintain and expand client database within your assigned territory
“Close the sale” using various sales methods such as product demonstrations, Lunch and Learn presentations, work directly with manufacturers on sales calls
Meet personal and team sales targets
Attend sales meetings, events and trainings to keep abreast of the latest developments
Report and provide feedback to management of current territory/customer status
Interact daily with designated Inside Sales Representative
Qualifications:
Technical knowledge of Industrial systems and applications
Institutional and Industrial steam and hot water system knowledge preferred
Knowledge of digital temperature control mixing valves a plus
Mechanical aptitude
Computer competency with strong organizational skills
Strong written and verbal communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills while maintaining a positive attitude
