
Overview
Position: Business Analyst Senior within PNC's Retail Banking Operations - Business Information Management team. Based in Denver, Colorado.
Responsibilities
Directs the research, discovery, collection and interpretation of business requirements, and participates in the development and review of processes, procedures, workflow analytics, and reporting.
Provides consultation to clients on business designs, problem solving and business analysis to support project management. Develops and maintains applicable policy and procedure documentation.
Independently obtains and identifies the business requirements needed to carry out and improve business processes. Provides expertise and problem-solving for clients and technology teams throughout the business analysis process.
Translates business needs, processes and procedures by partnering with applicable experts and stakeholders to determine and articulate needs. Communicates with stakeholders and technology teams on moderately complex business requirements, provides gap analysis and facilitates future business process modeling for clients.
Required Skills and Experience
Technical and Analytical Skills
Advanced Data Analysis: analyze complex data sets, identify trends, and draw actionable insights.
Business Process Modeling: map, analyze, and improve business processes using standard modeling techniques.
Requirements Gathering: elicit, document, and manage business and technical requirements from stakeholders.
Reporting Tools: familiarity with BI and reporting tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
SQL and Data Querying: write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction and analysis.
Project Management: understanding of Agile and/or Waterfall methodologies and experience in project teams.
Business Acumen
Financial Services Knowledge: understanding of banking products, services, and regulatory requirements.
Strategic Thinking: align analysis and recommendations with organizational goals.
Problem-Solving: strong critical thinking and ability to develop innovative solutions.
IRA and 529 Account Support: knowledge of IRA and 529 accounts, regulatory compliance, account management and reporting requirements; familiarity with related regulations and best practices.
Communication and Interpersonal Skills
Stakeholder Management: experience with business leaders, technical teams, and end users.
Presentation Skills: able to present findings and recommendations clearly to diverse audiences.
Collaboration: strong teamwork in cross-functional settings.
Documentation: ability to create clear, concise documentation for technical and non-technical audiences.
Additional Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Information Systems, or related field (Master’s preferred).
Certifications such as CBAP or PMI-PBA are often preferred.
Several years of experience as a business analyst, preferably in banking/financial services.
Technical adaptability: ability to quickly learn new systems, tools, and technologies.

Job Details
Pay: Base Salary: $64,000.00 – $111,800.00. Salaries may vary by location, experience and education. Eligible for incentives.
